The Story Behind Daniel Gorman

“You are not using a watch to look at time.

You are using time to discover yourself.”

Time is more than a measurement.

It is a connection between who we were, who we are, and who we hope to become.

At Daniel Gorman, we believe a watch should not only record moments — it should inspire curiosity, imagination, and exploration.

Why Daniel Gorman?

John

Why should a watch brand carry the name
of an ordinary person?

Daniel Gorman

Because exploration does not belong only
to scientists or astronauts.

It belongs to everyone.

Daniel Gorman is not a symbol of fame.It represents curiosity. The curiosity to look beyond what we know, and to search for something greater.

The Night That Started Everything

Morro Bay, California

In a small coastal town beneath a sky full of stars, a simple conversation began. That night, the lights went out. And for the first time, the universe became visible again.

This changed the way we think about time.

Time is not only a number.

Time is a journey.

Daniel Gorman is saying

Do you know?

Every star we see carries a story.

Some of the light reaching us today
started its journey thousands or even millions
of years ago.

What we see is not only the universe's present.

It is its memory.

It is the searching itself.

The most beautiful part of searching
for life beyond Earth is not finding the answer.

Because searching means you believe
there is something beyond yourself.

We are all small signals in the universe.

Sending our own frequency.

Waiting for someone,
somewhere,
to receive it.

After returning home, our founder kept thinking about that night.

A simple conversation.

A simple person.

A powerful idea.

Daniel Gorman became a reminder:

Exploration is not a privilege of experts.

Curiosity belongs to everyone.

Every year, a new frontier. Every frontier, a new way to understand time.

The Journey Continues

2023

Field Note-Beyond Earth

Daniel Gorman began with a question:

What exists beyond what we already know?

We looked toward the universe because every exploration begins with curiosity.

Every planet, every distant signal, and every beam of ancient starlight carries a story beyond our imagination. Some stars we see today may have already disappeared, yet their light continues its journey through space.

What we see is not only the universe’s present.

It is the memory of what once existed.

For us, exploring space is not about reaching the furthest destination.

It is about continuing to search.

2024

Field Note-Into The Deep

While our exploration of the cosmos continues, our curiosity turns toward another unknown world beneath us.

The deep ocean remains one of Earth’s greatest mysteries. In darkness, extreme pressure, and temperatures beyond imagination, life still finds a way to exist.

The scaly-foot snail survives near hydrothermal vents, where conditions seem impossible for most living things.

The ocean reminds us:

Life does not need perfect conditions.

It only needs a possibility.

And discovering that possibility is why we continue to explore.

2025

Field Note-The Desert

We entered the desert searching for a silent world.

But beneath endless sand lies a forgotten history.

The Sahara was once covered by ancient lakes and rivers. What was once an ocean became a desert, and every grain of sand carries the memory of another time.

The desert teaches us that nothing remains unchanged.

Everything transforms.

Even a place that appears empty today once held life, movement, and possibility.

Exploration allows us to discover not only what exists now, but what existed before.

Field Note-Ice & Polar Regions

Some of Earth’s oldest stories are preserved in ice.

Deep within Greenland’s ice sheet, layers formed over thousands of years record ancient climates, forgotten environments, and the history of our planet.

Scientists read these frozen layers like pages of time.

Even in the coldest regions, life continues quietly beneath the surface.

The polar world reminds us:

Time never disappears.

It leaves traces waiting to be discovered.

2027

Field Note-The Earth's Core

Humanity has explored the Moon and reached beyond our planet.

Yet one of the greatest mysteries remains beneath our feet.

Deep inside Earth, invisible forces create the magnetic shield that protects all life, while the core itself remains beyond our direct reach.

We cannot see it.

We cannot touch it.

But we continue to listen and understand.

Exploration is not choosing one direction.

It is choosing every direction.

Beyond Tomorrow-The Journey Never Ends

Our journey began with the universe. But exploration has never belonged to one place.

Above us are endless galaxies.
Below us are hidden oceans.
Around us are landscapes shaped by millions of years.
Every frontier reveals a different story.

Every discovery changes the way we understand time, nature, and ourselves.

Daniel Gorman will continue exploring.

Because curiosity has no final destination.
